Tapile Village
Adopted by Mary B Austin School

Tapile is a village in Eastern Province of Zambia. They were adopted by Mary B Austin school (Mobile, AL) in March, 2015.

This village of 210 people currently gets their water from a shallow hand-dug hole that is about 2 kilometers from their village center. The village is 100% agrarian (farming), and relies on maize as their main source of income and food.

Tapile Village will be getting a deep, fresh-water well in the fall of 2015. The students and faculty at Mary B Austin school have already completely funded this project.
